carolina chase

Kar-O-Leena

los angeles, ca · debut album warwick, september 25, 2026

At just 16 years old, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Carolina Chase is carving out a distinctive voice in the indie-pop landscape with emotionally candid songwriting and atmospheric, electronic-leaning production that captures the intensity and uncertainty of growing up in todays world.

warwick — carolina chase, album cover

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Carolina (Kar-O-Leena) began writing songs at age nine and released her first collection of music by age twelve. Her work blends intimate lyricism with textured indie-pop soundscapes, offering listeners an unfiltered look at the transition from childhood into adolescence.

Following the release of her breakthrough single ‘the flowers’ in 2025, Carolina has steadily unveiled the sounds of her debut album, Warwick, through a series of singles including ‘microscope reality,’ ‘a tension,’ ‘have you let go yet? (featuring Tyler Lyle),’ and most recently, ‘on my mind.’ Together, the songs trace the emotional highs and lows of adolescence through introspective lyrics, cinematic production, and an evolving sonic palette.

Set for release in September 2026, Warwick is a coming-of-age record that explores identity, vulnerability, relationships, and self-discovery with a maturity that belies Carolina’s age.

With a rapidly developing artistic identity and a deeply personal approach to songwriting, Carolina Chase represents a new generation of young artists documenting adolescence with honesty, nuance, and emotional precision. Fully independent: self-written, produced with award-winning composer Andy Huckvale, and self-released.

Adolescent insecurity is the subject, handled without apology. Carolina Chase moves between wanting to be noticed and wanting to vanish, and treats the two as the same gesture. The writing reads like a diary kept at fifteen, plainspoken and unguarded, while the production keeps its distance: piano and guitar recorded close, electronics held at the edges.

What opens as a record about being watched closes as one about leaving without explanation.

on my mindlyrics +close −

They look me up and down and say I’m pretty
Tell me to stop living in self pity
I can hear the echos in the city
All your whispers make me kind of dizzy
Guess I got to used to the discomfort
Cause now feeling happy feels wrong
Don’t know if this is new
Or was it in you all along?

Look me in the eye and say you’re sorry
Tell me to my face that you feel bad
Hoping one day that you will, but
I know you don’t work like that
Can’t explain your thirst for validation
Fingers crossed and voices kept down low
Saw through the weak disguise,
I think it’s time to let you go

All my heroes showing their real faces
All my demons trying to be my friends
Something taught not to discuss
So I’ve learned to pretend
That I’m fine, cause I’m fine
It’s all good, I’m alright
Don’t ask me how I feel one more time
Cause I hate to lie, I hate to lie

They look me up and down and say I’m pretty
Tell me to stop living in self pity
I can hear the echos in the city
All their whispers make me kind of dizzy
Guess I got to used to the discomfort
Cause now feeling happy feels wrong
Don’t know if this is new
Or was it in you all along?

All my heroes showing their real faces
All my demons trying to be my friends
Something taught not to discuss
So I’ve learned to pretend
That I’m fine, cause I’m fine
It’s all good, I’m alright
Don’t ask me how I feel one more time
Cause I hate to lie, I hate to lie

Trying not to think about the fact that you’re
On my mind
Who will I be when nothings keeping me
Up at night
Trying not to think about the fact that you’re
On my mind
It’s all I do, consumed by you, and I don’t know why
Who will I be when nothings keeping me
Up at night
It’s all I do, consumed by you, do I even try?

All my heroes showing their real faces
All my demons trying to be my friends
Too tired to deal with this so
I’ll just go, I’ll just go
Cause I’m fine, cause I’m fine
Trying not to think about the fact that you’re
On my mind
It’s all good, I’m alright
It’s all I do, consumed by you, and I don’t know why
Don’t ask me how I feel one more time
Who will I be when nothings keeping me
Up at night
Cause I hate to lie, I hate to lie
It’s all I do, consumed by you, do I even try?

They looked me in the eye and said I’m pretty
Told me to stop living in self pity
I can hear the echos in the city

have you let go yet? feat. tyler lylelyrics +close −

Thought there was something strange
In the way you asked
See your fears in my tears
I know you hate that
But you won’t loosen your grip just yet
I’ll whisper sweet nothings into the void
Till the silence between us is the loudest noise
Until you look at me and you ask

Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
How do you let go?

Was there really something strange
About the way I asked?
Were you twisting the truth
So I would fight back?
Turning questions into traps
You whisper sweet nothings into the void
Although it drives me mad, swear I don’t hear the noise
Till I know what you’re afraid to ask

Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
How do you let go?

I wish I knew what I could do
I’m burning slow, I’m burning through
Your lies I told myself were true
(did you really ever mean it?)
Now that I’ve opened my eyes I see
All of the wounds that cut to deep
You called it love but let me bleed
(It took me so long to see it)

Have you let go yet?
Have you let go?
Have you let go yet?
How do you let go?
Saw your fears in my tears,
I know you hate that
I know you hate that, hate that, hate that
I know you hate that, hate that, hate that

And I almost smile when I look back
Saw your fears in my tears
I know you hate that

Holding hands over eyes
Only let them see what is supplied
If I could, would I try?
Scared to look, see what is behind
Encroach your way into my mind
Left no space for what’s real or what’s right
Live in darkness, called shadowed light
There’s an aching to believe the disguise

What’d you do, who’d you tell?
Can’t trust what I don’t know well
Built a world, an escape
Concrete walls enclose the truest forms of hate
Microscope reality, laced with submissive hypocrisy
Microscope reality, make a small world feel smaller to me

Microscope reality, laced with submissive hypocrisy
Microscope reality, make a small world feel smaller
Make a small world feel smaller
Make a small world feel smaller

I do not need you to hear me
I know that you listen
The words that I’m singing
Tomorrow your ears will be ringing
Turn your head, just turn away now
Right after you notice my shoes and my hair
All the things that I wear

Sunny days, where I’m
Far away, I am
Far away, I am
Far away

Don’t need you to hear me
I know that you listen
It’s been weeks, I’m weak
Turn away, close your eyes
Why do you ignore me
Why won’t you just notice
My shoes or my hair,
Tiny details I swear

Get out of my head,
The things you’ve said
Don’t think I care
Don’t think at all

Please don’t think I care, I don’t care at all
I hate the attention
I thirst for a tension

Sunny days, where I’m
Far away, I am
Far away, I am
Far away

Sunny days, where I’m
Far away, I am
Far away, I am
Far away
